B-Burning through Naoto's registry.
◆ Blade Combat.
Pretty much what it says on the tin—Naoto can fight with a sword now. She isn't amazingly proficient, but she can handle anyone on the average level of the fighting scale without much trouble. For those who would notice it, she tends to use a two-handed fight style that was more self taught than anything.
As for in regards to her other skills . . . This is the only case where they won't stack! She may add in a flip or a knife-throw here or there, but she doesn't have the intuition to know how to switch and effectively use all three in combat since that's locked in another skill. So, depending upon how she gauges herself or the fight, she may completely change tactics.
Also, she doesn't wear her sword openly. Rather, Naoto always keeps it in a case due to remembering having done so and the significance of her sword.
◆ Defending Heine. [C15-C20]
After hearing about Fuyumine from Granny Liza, Naoto reflects on him until the twins descend upon the group in the middle of a job. When she hears about someone connected to Fuyumine, the pain of her scar sears through her.
- He gave me a reason to live and the skills to survive . . . He made me who I was.
- I definitely did not choose to live for the future. Without question, my past is the reason for my existence now.
- Even in the heat of battle and trauma, there is still no excuse for killing someone, though.
- "I will not be a sheep. It doesn't matter if this a pasture or a wild prairie, whether your opponent is a wild dog or a wolf . . . If anyone comes at you with hostile intent and their fangs bared, you've got to cut into them more deeply, sharply, and rip them to shreds!"
- "Who is it? Who is it that I need to cut? Who should I cut? Who should I hate? Tell me, Father." How long do I have to keep on going on living cursing someone?
+ Extreme uncertainty about whether to keep taking her memories.
+ Infinite uncertainty if that was the best way to handle a child.
+ Certainty that she is crazy for a somewhat valid reason.
◆ Nill fixing her dress. [C22-C26]
After the battle with the twins, Nill sets about fixing Naoto's dress as everyone hears about Heine's past.
- If he remembers his past and I don't remember anything beyond getting cut open, I could potentially have a pretty awful past.
— And I don't even pause to realize that fact, just keep pushing for the underground.
- M-Muscle bound tranny . . . Yup, I definitely couldn't do anything other than fight and sleep.
- My world was absolutely fucked up if this story wasn't surprising to anyone involved.
+ Never cooking or cleaning or sewing or—!
+ Not putting on cute clothes ever.

Naoto learns of Badou's connection to the underground and is warned not to press any further.
- Well, I'm not the only one!

+ Zero connection between the person the priest talked about and this guy.
+ One name! . . . One very useless name!
◆ Faltering in the middle of battle. [C43-C47]
Right after this memory, the battle intensifies until the city is brought to its knees.
- If I falter, then I'll die. If I falter, then I'll be killed. I must not hesitate . . . You said you wouldn't be a sheep, right? —Bite and claw your way to survive. Live on. If I falter, then I won't be able to protect anything!
— Protecting others and herself comes before all else, she can and will kill.
- These people do not ever die . . .
- Oh, a kamikaze attack with the invading soldiers . . . That sure is a thing. W-What is my life.
- No, wait, the girl is in danger—!
+ Determination against all death.
+ Will shank a bitch, though.
+ A name, and a wish that Nill is okay . . .

Naoto visits a church in order to find a rumored informant when a mob family attacks to kidnap Nill. Afterwards, she explains what she's looking for to the priest.
- I'm looking for someone connected to a place deeper than the underground.
- This priest is a freak . . . But well-connected.
- Her wings are real, and it goes against God?
- I don't remember anything, and I don't know why someone did that.
— If I don't move forward and find out, then it's the same as being dead.
— It's related to the scar.
- Sacrificing the present to return the past, or losing something then adjusting to it for the future . . .
+ Keeping her scar covered for more than other people's comfort.
+ Will to find out without charging forward recklessly.

◆ The start of the attack. [C39-C42]
The trains from before arrive again, bringing destruction and a wave of inhuman soldiers with them. Everyone comes together quickly to fight them off.
- I don't kill people . . . But I really should.
- I am not a sheep.
- This handle is an eyesore. This handle, this handle, this handle . . .
- Everyone seems pretty used to fighting, but are surprised by random explosions.
- We are definitely underground.
◆ Knife Combat.
Naoto first learned to fight with a knife, so the same follows for Aather. She can use either a forward or reverse grip, though she favors reverse later on. She can make the most out of the weapon, understanding its strengths and shortcomings. Most often, Naoto uses her knives as accessories to her fights, preferring to throw them or use them as a secondary weapon to her sword.
Normally, Naoto carries a few at her back on a belt, like combat knifes or switch blades along with a few throwing knifes. She also has one throwing knife a piece down in her boots, too.
◆ Agility & Acrobatics.
Naoto is pretty dexterous! She can sail through the air, do flips, and all kinds of acrobatic tricks. Rather than being suddenly adept, it's more like she's regaining the ability to move naturally, since she's aware of how to move but wasn't capable before.
As all of her skills are physically attributes, they tend to stack. So, with agility on top of her knife skills, she can handle herself in a fight now. However, it pans to a more defensive side, being able to duck and dodge, as a compliment to the lack of defense that fighting with a knife gets her. For anyone canon familiar, she's about at the level where she beat Magato without her ability to switch to hand-to-hand.
